It's fair to say the Nintendo Switch is suffering from a few bugs, some more serious than others. If this happened to you on a piece of kit you'd just paid north of £300 on you wouldn't be too happy. It's kind of nice on the ears, if you dig that sort of thing. It starts out like a spaceship landing before trying to take off again, goes silent, and then comes back for an electro encore.
Unlike its predecessors, the new Nintendo Switch has a boring operating system. It can't be easy to compose system music for a video game console. The 3DS and the Wii U, Nintendo's two most recent gaming systems, both had incredible menu music. You can just look at it and not hear music, and you'll have the same experience as actually using a Switch.
